Someone Please Help?? (Women only please, Gyn. related issue)?

Is it normal for it to smell really strong down there, I mean strong enough to practically make a whole room smell? My room is a smaller college dorm room, and I do have a roommate, who I am pretty sure notices it off the bat. Please e-mail me if you'd rather, since this is a private issue.
Answer:
its ttly normal just get the scented pads and whenever u urinate wip with baby wipes that should help
No it isnt normal. Happened to me before and it was vaginal ..something or another. There are so many things it could be. Go to the doc and he'll hook u up with stuff. It will be gone in no time!
The normal discharge a woman has throughout her cycle should not smell strongly.

A strong or unpleasant smell almost always is a sign of infection. Please give an ob/gyn a call or at least speak to the nurse and tell them what you are experiencing.

Observe any discharge you are having, too. They will want to know that as well.
you most likely have bacterial vaginosis... just a bacterial infection. talk to your doc, they can prescribe antibiotics to clear it up
No this is not normal. You are off balance for some reason. It could be an infection. Do you douche often? If so you shouldn't be as this rids your body of the good bacteria it needs. Also, be sure there is no foreign object inside, like a tampon or condom. I suggest you go to a doctor to get this taken care of then be mindful of your body day to day. Hope this gets better!
Do you douche. That would be what I would try first. Massengil has a whole line of products now from douches, personal hygeine wipes, soaps, etc. Also take a shower or bath right after sex. If these do not seem to work, go to your doctor. You may have somnething as simple as a yeast infection, that can be treated quite easily.
No, it's not normal. My suggestion would be to ask your doctor. In the meantime, just a little few little hints:

Shower frequently, wash well.
Do not use perfumed soaps, deodorants, scented feminine products, or douches (they actually make it worse)
Wear 100% cotton undies, preferably uncolored.
No tight pants.
No thongs (they can carry anal bacteria straight to your girlie parts)

But your doctor can also rule out or treat a potential infection, which is often a source of strong odor.
