So if you get tested to have you hymen checked?

Like lets say the mom/dad goes with their daughter to get it checked to see if its still there can the doctor tell them? and does the doctor do the test if front of the parents? If not can the girl tell the doctor to say its still there either way?
Answer:
There is Dr/Pt confidentiality, but not when you are a minor. Why would your parents be taking you to see if your hymen is still intact? Do they believe you are screwing around? How old are you? I believe you should just be honest w/your parents and let them know what is going on in your life. If you are having sex, you should talk to your mom about it so that she can help you pick out the right type of contraceptive.
the Dr does not do the exam in front of the parents=however ,you have to be at least 18 for him to keep you health history from them =sorry and good luck
I dont know I think they cant tell because doctor patient confidentiality
yes
It doesn't matter if a hymen is present or not as this does not indicate anything. Many times a hymen is broken in sports or if you use a tampon or other things. The doc doesn't care if you have a hymen or not and he has no reason to even mention this to your parents. Your parents do not have to be in the room with you if you ask them not to be there. If your parents think they want to take you to the doc to check if you have a hymen or not I sure hope the doc has enough sense to tell them this is not necessary and that he won't do this as it is not anything anyone needs to know.
Even if your hymen was broken, that doesn't mean you had sex because it can break from other things, like horsebackriding. (Tampons do not break hymens. That's a myth.)

The test is pointless.
The doctor examines only if necessary but a female nurse by the side will be always there and tell the patient or her relatives about the result.
No, the doctor will examine you in private, and a male doctor will have a female nurse present as a witness that he didn't try anything sexually abusive.

Whether the doctor has to tell your parent(s) probably depends on your age.

In any event, the presence or absence of the hymen means nothing in terms of whether you're sexually active. Some women are born without one, and it's easy enough to break in gym class or other play and sports activities.

If you can tell the doctor what to say, the only truth is that whether or not your hymen is there doesn't mean anything.
Your parents do not have to be present when your doctor is going to do this. Just because your hymen is not there does not mean you have had sex, a doctor can not tell for sure...depending on your age, if you have had a menstraul cycle, tampons can break it, lots of activity(horseback riding, bicycling) can also do it. Yes even if you are not 18 years of age your doctor can not tell your parents anything you do not want them too. Relax you have nothing to worry about.

So if im on birth control what happens to the eggs?

So I've been on BC for 3 years, and when your on BC your eggs are not released correct? If thats the case then do i have 3 years of "saved up" eggs since they were never released?
Answer:
just go to the store and get some eggs
Yep, when you're on birth control pills, your eggs just hang out and wait until you're done taking the pill.
In a way that's correct. Women are actually born with all the eggs they will ever have. So you've had those "saved up" eggs for quite awhile.
lol to the first persons answer that was funny. I dont really know I will research it. This is a good question. I never really thought about it.
When you're on the Pill, the eggs in your ovaries do not form at all. You don't ovulate. They do not "save up" for later.

So if 7 inches is considered big?

because, well, it's over an inch above average and within the 90th percentile of all sizes, what is 6 1/2" considered?

Now before you say something like "7 INCHES ISNT EVEN THAT BIG", go look at a ruler. Lots of girls (and apparently guys too) have a warped perception on size and when they think of a "7 incher" they often estimate a size smaller than that because a guy who they had sexual relations with lied by an inch. It has been documented in countless surveys that average size is between 5 1/2" and 6".

Because of said things, do you think girls will think 6 1/2" is 7", which they then would consider above average in size, even if just by not too much?
Answer:
If its too long it could hurt anyways only sluts care about that! And if a girl makes fun of you, make fun of her boobs! %26lt;3 Melanie myspace.com/thatspoiledbella
If I love you do I care..?
i agree 7 is big. most guys have a penis 3-5 inches. you are lucky.
yah i see what you're saying. well i guess 7 is a bit above average. i would consider that fairly big but not like OMFG! big. OMFG big is like 9 or 10 inches. lol. so yah 7 is pretty big
Only sluts care about size! If a girl loves you she won't care.
More than a mouthful is a waste.

So i just used veet. and i have bumps. like big bumps all over my legs. they itch like i got bit by fire ants!

ahh what do i do to make it feel better? will it go away soon? my legs are on fire!
Answer:
its either chemical burn or an allergic reaction , chemical burn put some lotion on it aloe vera works best allergic reaction take some benadryl or something like that
did u leave it on 2 long?
maybe u r allergic?
maybe try an aloe vera or a sorbolene cream
Benadryl in any form.
aloe vera will help soothe it.
your allergic to it, don't use it again. I know of a few people who had that problem, one even had to go to the hospital. You'll have to wait it out or go to a doctor.
you are having an allergic reaction
don't know what it is but use some benadryl to relieve the itch.then some Mederma if there are scars left

So i just got my period...it lasted 7 days and was really heavy sometimes! Is this normal?

Answer:
its completely normal to have a heavy flow..
That's how mine was at first as well. It used to be incredibly heavy. For it to last a week is about the average. In a few months I'm sure it will even itself out instead of seeming out of control and pouring. Don't worry. You won't bleed to death or anything. Trust me, the same exact thing happened to me but now it's not heavy anymore and pretty average I guess. Hope this helped!
yup. normal. sometimes they're heavier than others.
It all depends on your body. You can't change anything and it's completely normal. Try the website BeingGirl.com.

Hope I helped!

~Kristen
Definitely normal. I have heavy days during the first 3 days of my period but I only have my period for about 5-8-days. It varies between girls and their own cycles. Don't be worried at all.
Yes, very normal.

My period used to be like that.
yes, it is perfectly normall to have a heavy flow some of the time or all of the time. It all depends on the person. Personally, I have a heavy flow about once every 3 months. Some women have a heavy flow every month. Like i said it varies from woman to woman.
Since you just got your period it's normal because your body has to get used to having a period now.

So I just ended that time of the month..?

And I have a HUGE cramp in my stomach. I have no idea what it's from. I never had sex so I can't be pregnant..help?
Answer:
It happens to me. Right underneath my belly button and right across my lower back hurts. Even my legs get all numb. Continue to take the painkillers, put some heat to it. Get a lot of rest.
the cramp is from ur period, just take some pain killers and relax
it probably just wanted to go out with a bang. it could also just be a cramp. you might have gas that you're completely unaware of, trust me, i'm a guy, and i've had that happen to the point where i collapsed on the floor from the pain, completely unable to move. as for your back, is it your kidneys? could also be dehydration kicking in. it could also be any combination of these ideas. sounds like you're doing the right things to take care of it. a heating pad would help some too!
wat helps me is i get down on the ground and and i put my feet up on a chair and that really helps me out a lot, good luck!
you may be enjesting too much salt. try cutting down on salt and see if it helps.
Alot of women also get cramps during ovulation, and ovulation comes after periods. So most likely you are ovulating, and cramping, and you are completely normal. Ily.

So I have been having my period whenever it feels like coming for the past 4 years now.?

I never really wear tampons, because i could sit there with the whole box and put them in and take them out and put them in and take them out. I've followed the directions every time and even tried things of my own like squatting or lying down. But everytime i wear tampons i can always feel them, I am at a regular, cause they don't make super tiny tampons. lol. I put them in and after walking for about a minute I can feel them, and they start to come out. Why does It do that? Is there something wrong?! i push them up in there as far as they wll go, it's all the way in, its stops going and I feel a pressure or a slight pinch up in that region.
Answer:
They make light tampons, you may try those, but you may try bending over when you put them in
I would stop wearing tampons if they are just not fitting right despite following the directions. You might have a shorter birth canal/vagina.

I always had trouble with them and could constantly feel it.

So embarrassing maybe (tmi) for some of you but.?

Ok ladies only im 40 and have had 2 prgncys (1singl and twins this lst time) almst 3 yrs ago... But ive noticd snce i had the twins my labia has gotten well longr... and very bothersome.. at times its very sore and i really dont knw what to do or am i the only one with this prblm. My husbnd thinks its funny bcse i have to "fix it" and dsnt undrstnd how it bothers me... anyone else with this "problem" or am i the only disformed women???
Answer:
Oh god now everyones gonna know my business! I'm kidding, I'm not ashamed of having a baby and not being totally right down there afterwards. My doctor sewed one of my labias down and under on one side and it looks obviously different from the other side. I was really pissed off when I noticed (after sweeling went down and it healed after birth) because my doctor never said anything not even at my 6 week checkup. It bothers me at times like when I wipe where it had not bothered me before. I have thought about getting it fixed, but I still want more kids so I'll wait until I'm done with that. The way it sounds to me is your done having kids so you might as well check into getting a reconstructive surgery. It's worth it if it bothers you, Good Luck!

Andrea
There is a surgery to correct this problem. They aired it on Cable.
u r old
I'm 17 and I have the same thing. It's not a "problem" it's just how I am. Everyone is different.

Snoring problem?

ok...my mom has a HUGE snoring problem and i dont know what to do about it. we're going on a school trip and she is coming. we are in a room w/ another mom and another girl. she snores so badly that it'll wake ppl up and i dont know what to do!! what should i do?

PS: the trip is tomorrow and i dont have time to go to the store or to get a perscription or something. thanks
Answer:
If she is overweight that would account for the snoring.

If she has sinus issues that could also contribute to snoring.

Breathe right strips do not always help, I've tried that. Neither does the "snore no more" spray they sell beside it.

You could also just use another room, that would be the best bet.

She may have to go to the doctor about it.

If she snores more on her back than on her stomach, sleep in the same bed with her and when she snores make her sleep on her stomach.
she need to see the sleep doctor, or get a brige for her noes,
there are some stripes you can get at da store, and it opens up your nose so you can breathe better, hopefully it will make her stop lol. I know someone who snores too, and i dont have those, so i shake the bed till she wakes up, then pretend to be asleep. that works on her.
I know you said you don't have time to go to the store, but try and get some breathe rights. It will open up the airway out of the nose and reduce the snoring. If you really have no other solution, tell the other people you are sharing a room with right away. That way they will know.
Try breethe right strips they work .sleep apnea is a problem when you have troble breething in your sleep. I know you can't go to the store.

Smooth Guys ? For girls?

Ok Girls
do you prefer men with no hair on the chest or pits or above the groin ?? or do you like them smooth
Answer:
it varies from country to country, in some places people like smooth and in others normal.
Some hair is alright...

However, if you have TOO MUCH hair its time to go play 40-Year Old Virgin!
I like my husband's body the way God made it. All men are not created equal, but love what you have!
smooth.if they have it then they should shave it
I prefer either no hair or just a little light dusting. I don't like really really hairy guys.
i'd prefer less body hair as possible
but if the guy has some on his chest it won't put me off...

as for the privates...better shaven...
I PREFER MY GUYS SMOOTH!
a bit of hair is fine.. nice and natural.. guys that style their body hair seem vain and vanity is very unattractive!
I like hair cause shaving with a straight razor or an electric then it cause the hair to be spiney. That's really uncomfortable when you are trying to sleep and rest on a chest. But you know i do like bald genitals.
My guy only ha a small amount on the chest which is cool, armpits should be hairy on a man.

Around his groin I like it smooth x
No shaving, thats creepy..then everything would sort of look like a plucked chicken.
It's a man..he should be hairy...trimmed and well maintained..with his natural hair.
You know, in theory I like men with with only small amounts of hair. But when it comes to looking back over the years of the men in my life, I think that realistically I am secretly attracted to furry men! I've even had a long term relationship with a man who had long hair on his head, arms, legs, privates, and hair on his back 鈥?yuck! But I loved him madly and so I over looked that aspect I guess. Now I'm with someone who has very little hair on their head or anywhere else for that matter. And I've had all kinds in between, but I guess when it comes down to looking at a man and finding him attractive I guess I like a little hair. I like my man to look like a man! But those buff shaved bodies in the Mags and stuff, I'll take one of those too.
I find hairy chests sexy as.
smooth upper half, and some hair down bottom half.

you dont want a hairy gorilla now do you?
i don't know, if a guy is smooth it seems kinda gay but if he has too much hair its disgusting.
Id rather hair but not too much!

Its so womanly for a man to shave in these places though. what a turn off!!!
men are not men without hair.on their body anyway LOL

Smoking and pregnancy?

my first pregnancy i quit for about half of it. but this time its harder..i quit fr a month and im at it again. for the last 3 days ive cut way down. would a ciggerette b4 i go to bed once a day be as bad?
Answer:
I smoked before my I became pregnant, a pack a day.
It was incredible hard, but I did it. I still miss smoking but for her I wont start!
It is soooo bad for your baby. It TRIPLES the chance of SIDS.

I knew, once I looked into my babys eyes that I could never forgive myself for hurting her in any way.

I understand it is tough, but not impossible, there is no excuse. You can do it. In my opinion, a cigarette before bed is totally uneccessary you might as well jsut quit.

Im not trying to hurt your feeling, just being totally honest here,
when my neighbor downstairs didnt quit smoking and had the occasional drink. I have no respect for her for that and I think what kind of mother is she going to be if she disregards her childs welfare before it is born? Sorry, but now you know what people are thinking and not saying.
She had major problems during her delivery and almost lost her baby :( He still may be a special needs child (only 2 weeks old) I bet she asked herself if her actions contributed to the childs condition negatively. I would not want to be in that position.
Im a smoker, so I understand your craving here. I would think it wouldnt be as bad as 20 per day.my doc told me that to quit cold turkey will put the baby into withdraw as well, so gradually wein yourself from it, and if you cant quit, then at least slow down as much as you can...good luck...god bless
While it's best to completely quit smoking, ANY cutting down of smoking would be helpful. Good luck with that!
Any smoking at all effects the baby, but being a pack-a-day smoker I know exactly how you feel. It took me until my 4th month of pregnancy to completely quit, after that, the smell of smoke made me sick. Then 5 months later, back to smoking.

I knew a girl in HS who smoked a lot, purposely, to make her baby smaller so it wouldn't hurt so bad pushing it out. That made me want to kill people like her.

It's good to see you're worried about the effects of smoking, and it's so easy for non-smokers to say "Just quit!" One cigarette a day is very reasonable and shouldn't cause any perminate damage at all.

Smelly discharge.or maybe just smelly down there wat do i fdo? im 13!!?

Answer:
It's perfectly normal to develop a little discharge - it means that you are growing up. Avoid using highly perfumed soap or bubble bath but shower every day (maybe get some unscented soap or baby soap.)

If it is brown or dark yellow and sore or itchy you should see your doctor. Maybe you could tell your Mum first or a friend or female relative and she can reassure you? Or you could make an appointment with a lady doctor.

This link may help too.

Smelly but clear discharge! help!?

I am still a virgin and I'm 17. I have a discharge before I menstrate but most of the time it's a pretty heavy discharge. Sometimes it would soak thru my underwear and i would have to use a light day pad in order to avoid having that wet feeling. and there would be a smell, but only i can smell it and thats when im sitting down on a hot day or something. is that normal? i have a doc appt but thats not for a week later and im going to drive myself crazy. it's been this way for a while so I dunno if its normal or not..
Answer:
Your fine but it could be an infection. I had that happen to me. It's harmless but you would need meds from your ob/gyn to clear it up.
Well, you do need to bathe or shower daily, and in hot weather, anyone might want to at least rinse off twice daily.

The vagina is a self-cleaning organ, so women always have some amount of clear discharge. It would not have an odour to it until some of the bacteria that you normally carry around on you begins to attack it and break it down.

I'm giving you some links that could help, in addition to the above information. Past that, you really can only wait to see your doctor.
yes your ok, the vulva has sweat glands just like your arm pits when you get hot you sweat
What you eat could make a difference, too. If you eat lots of spicy foods, or certain spices like garlic, alot, that can affect the way your vagina and sweat smells, which would make it even more noticeable on a hot day.
do you change the panty liner often? it won't help if you are not cleaning yrself properly.

Smear!!!?

Is it true that you do not have to have a smear if you have not been sexually active for more than 3 years?
Answer:
NO!
I work in a doctors surgery, and this is not correct! You should have a smear regularly, as it can pick up early traces of cancer. You do not need to start having them untill you are 25 now, but if you have been sexually active from an early age - then its recommended that you are seen earlier. Good luck!
No.
No definatley not
no.....the rule is by the age of 21 or within 3 years of becoming sexually active
depends on how old you are and what region you live in itook me 5 years of letters and moving 2 a different area to go and have one i was scared it was nothing when i had it done couldnt believe all the fuss i had made of it,if your 25 before november and you live in the westcountry your be called for one
no! u can still get cancer n stuff without having sex!
No this is not true. you should be having regular smears roughly every 3 years.
i don't know i am not sexually active
no you need to start either when you become sexually active or when you turn 18 (which ever comes first) and then you need to get it every 3 years!
u need to do it only if u r not virgin. as a virgin if u go for test u loose ur verginity... %26 it is quite uncomfortable
Not at all, once you become sexually active it is very important that you have regular smears .

Check out www.jotrust.co.uk for more information on the impotance of smears.
No, not true at all.

Never, ever miss a smear. My mother had a hysterectomy at 32 due to cervical cancer - would never have got that far if she'd had a smear test.
I think the letters the doctors say on it is that it is not as necessary to have a smear until you are sexually active, however, I would suggest you take up the opportunity
On my gynae placement (I'm a student nurse), there were 2 girls, mid twenties who died within days of each other following cervical cancer.
It depends where you live as to when you go. For example, in England, you have cervical smears for the age of 25, but it is 20 in Wales

Small vs. Big Boobs!?

I kinda of want big boobs and I kinda don't! I can't decide.. I love having them touched...

What is a way to make them smaller, and what is a way to make them bigger.
Answer:
Here is a guy's perspective (really handsome, too!)

Natural is the way to go. I know guys look at girls with big boobs all the time, but that's about all they are good for!

Think about it: big boobs sag when you get older, and most women who have them are heavy as well. Besides, do you really want them flopping all over the place all the time? lol

A girl could have an A cup and still be very attractive. It's all about shape, and being proportionate to the rest of your body. Besides, anything more than a handful is just baggage, right?

I hope I don't get too graphic here, but there are many disadvantages to having big boobs such as:

1. They tend to have stretch marks, or be veiny
2. As you get older they cover your belly button
3. Well endowed girls tend to have flat nips (no fun)

Hope this helps, or at least you got a laugh out of it. Small boobs are hot. Look at Milla Jovovich!
You can't make then big or small naturally.
There are artificial methods but hey just be happy with what you have girl.
getting plastic surgey and putting in implants...
for bigger boobs, smash a steel plate against your head every night 5 times.
for smaller boobs, smash the same steel plate against your head in the morning 5 times.
good luck
stay what you are. boobs won't matter when it comes to sexual activity. use ur tricks to fulfill men's satisfaction. not those surgeon. what if this will harm 2 you at the end. be careful to this matter. good luck.
Some of us guys like smaller boobs. I prefer "home grown" over surgically messed with.

If I can find them in the dark, they're big enough.

The woman they're attached to is far more important that the size of her boobs.
Big boobs are a HUGE hassle (unless their fake) because they bounce all over the place and they hurt your back. It's so hard for me to exercise, I wear two sports bra's and if I want to go running I'll wear 3. The only way to make them bigger is implants and smaller is loosing weight (which wont always work) or a reduction. If you do decide to get implants be ready for extra attention from guys.
Honey, enjoy your boobs! It doesn't matter if they are big or small, guys love them all! Touch your boobs all you like and enjoy them, but be careful, implants could desensitize your boobs and even though they would be bigger you may not enjoy them as much.

Small lesion type thing...?

around my anal area..and it stings when touched..i'm not sexually active, i'm only 13, and it looks like a little red raw circle type thing HELP! do i have some sort of disease? diagnosis please...or am i just overreacting?
Answer:
Could be a hemmeroid.
ring worm

Small lesion thing...HELP! I'M FREAKING OUT!!?

around my anal area..and it stings when touched..i'm not sexually active, i'm only 13, and it looks like a little red raw circle type thing HELP! do i have some sort of disease? diagnosis please...or am i just overreacting?
it doesn't itch, so i don't think that it's ringworm. It's also too small, i think. it's the size of.this o
Answer:
Really nothing to break your head about! Put a little aloe vera on it and watch it disappear before your very eyes! It's nothing more than a tiny pimple or an in-growing hair and remember in the future that "stress" as you've been causing yourself over this is at the root of major diseases today. Think about it. DIS-EASE or NOT AT EASE! And since stress itself is the cause of 90% of them all, the best remedy of all is a calm and cool spirit along with at least 8 glasses of fresh water a day... That's the best of anything to keep this wonderful machine of ours going for over a very long time! No more breaking your head over it! Okay! Go in peace! And good health to you!
One more thing that I should mention since it is located where it's at and in case it is more than meets the eye, keep doing the above but add this to it... every time you go to the bathroom, (make sure that you have proper protection if it is a public one!) and carry wet ones always to clean yourself real good before you put your pants back on... You have heard it said to wash your hands after going to the toilet but I'll go one more and tell you that it's just as important to wash your hands before as well... especially if you come from outside and might have touched contaminated objects such as simple door knobs... In this day and age, (and for a while longer, since it is getting bad out there!) we can't seem to wash those hands too much... (just a thought! which you can take or leave!) The fact that you will be drinking more water will ease even if it proved to be hemorrhoids but I somehow doubt it! It sounds like a nasty pimple pure and simple!
Sweet zombie Jesus!
Sweetie, calm down and talk to mom. She will be able to help you better than we can.
leave it alone 4 a while if it doesn't go away then go to a doctor
Don't panic!...just waita acouple of days if problem persists contact a doctor!
:)
It might be an ingrown hair, or a pimple. I would have your mom look at it to make sure because I am sure you cannot get a really good look at it. If it hurts really bad you can get it checked out by your doctor.
it could be a polyp or a hemorrhoid starting to grow there =this is not an uncommon thing =if you are still worried after listening to us see the Dr
Ok, if you live in a wooded area, it may be lymes disease. And ringworm does not always itch, so do not vote it out so fast. It may just be a pimple. But you probably dont want to talk to your parents about it do you? I wouldn't b/c im 13 too. Just take a soft moistureizer and rub it on lightly. I know it hurts but wash it often like when in a shower. Clean your backside and wait for a while.

-Hope it helps.
Um just wash it very good and apply some Vaseline or neosprine but keep it very clean.Hope i helped and hope it gets better!! GOOD LUCK
I had that too. I got it checked out, its nothing.

Small hips, butt, and legs are genetic?!?! SAY WHAT?

OKAY.
my moms side of the family have smallish legs and butts and I'm not so sure about my dads family because i don't really pay any attention to their butts, but anyway, can it be genetic to have a small butt and is there any hope for me?
Answer:
Yes, it's usually genetic. You can always work out your butt, you know.like Jessica Biel does.
yes

Small doubt?

Taken ultra sound scanning there is (uterus size normal and no cystsobserved) no egg observed on 15 th day.. today is 18th day for me.. had intercourse on 15 th 16 th . doctor suggested tables 'orgamed'(writeen on the strip Progestrone acetate.started from last 2 days) Today crampings like periods... neusea, sickness at stomach and pain also
is it due tablets? or am I conceiving? I know it is hard tell at this moment... but want to from your experience
Do I have egg released after 15th day?
Answer:
I can distinctly remember feeling sharp pains on conceiving. I always found my ovulation more painful than my easy going periods. You sound like you have been trying for some time and are having difficulties getting pregnant though I've never heard of "orgamed" - what is it? Everyone ovulates differently, from left or right 14days-16 days. but the egg hangs around for a while.
GOOD LUCK
try to calculate it yourself, when are you supposed to have your menstruation? count 14 days backward from that date, if it falls on the 15th, you are ovulating on that day and you might ba conceiving a child.

Small discharge?

Sometimes, way after or before my period. When i don't have my period. I still have a small discharge. Its usually clear and sometimes yellowish and somtimes light brown. Is this normal? Is it normal to have it almost everyday all month? And what should i do, wear a thin panty liner everyday?
Answer:
Yes. I have discharge everyday before and after my period it's perfectly normal. I also have a irregular cycle. i wear thin panty liners becuase when I don't it feels wet and disgusting so wear a panty liner it just might help.
It is normal if it's clear or white. But i'm not sure that yellow is acceptable, and if it is light brown right before or right after your period, it should be ok. But otherwise it may not be. But just 2 be sure ask a doc. Yellow discharge "could" mean an infection.
ya it's normal i get the same thing not everyday but..if it is clear or white that is ok..yellow may be bad i would talk to a doctor and if it is lite brown right before your period or right after that is ok but if it is brown at other times that is bad too
yeah thats perfectly normal and yeah most people wear pantyliners everyday if they have that problem.

Small brests?

I am 23 years old and 9 week pregenent.
My brests are very small is there any chance during pregenency of increasing it?
Answer:
Don't worry, small breasts are sexy.
no.
get wonder bra
no
yes
are you really serious?
Yes. As your baby develops inside you, your body prepares to take care of it once it is born. Your breasts will grow as the mamory glands develop in them, especially toward the end of your pregnancy. They may even grow so quickly, that they feel sore. This is normal. To relieve the pain, just nurse your new baby... or pump your breast milk and save it in sterile bottles in the 'fridge.

Hope this helps!
yes they will ,it's all part of the process, boobs get bigger to supply milk for the baby so in due time sweety. [ by the way , there ain't a damn thing wrong with small boobs ,I kinda like em]
during pregnancy, the mammary gland starts to produce milk making the breasts look full and enlarged. you are only 9 weeks pregnant, the enlargement will be noticeable around 7-9 mos., just wait and see for yourself.
Quite possibly as your breasts start to produce milk. But obviously it's just a temporary side effect.

HTH.
why you want it now?
yes, since ur preg, ur breasts will increase so it prepares itself to produce milk 4 the baby to drink

Small boobs?

I have small boobs...should I flaunt them or try to enlarge them.and by the way is there any way to make them bigger naturally... (I was just thinking)..
Answer:
Utilize what you have, flaunt them. You might want to purchase a wonderbra, cheaper and less hazardous then surgery. All those pills out there are just a scam and they do not work, so do not waste your money.
just flaunt them .
Just flaunt them. No need to make them bigger or they will end up sagging down to your navel as you age. If they are small, they will stay perky!
.
Just an FYI - MOST women have small boobs (average breast size for women worldwide is 36B). Large boobs became a fashion statement in the U.S. 1940's/1950's (remember the 'sweater girls?')

Make the most of what you've got and don't risk your health on surgery or pills.
I'm a member of the itty bitty titty club myself.
I wear underwire bra's with some padding.
It just helps them look fuller.
how old r u that ur worryin bout ur boobs
As a member of the naturally large boob club (D cup), please heed my advice and just flaunt what you have. Everytime i go shopping for cute shirts etc, they dont fit around the boobs, or i have to go up 1-2 sizes to accomodate them and then the shirts are baggy.

Flaunt what you have girl!
wear an underwire bra.ps...i love small boobs.
anything bigger than a handful and you're risking a sprained thumb...
i say bigger is better 2 make you feel better i have big 1's
I love small boobs. Flaunt them. Show the world. Be loud and proud
just be proud of you ,small boobs are just great,be proud of who you are and what you got,if it aint broke don't fix it,your not broke, your just fine,be happy
Some of us guys love small boobs. You go and make them bigger, then what are we supposed to do?

If I can find them in the dark, they're big enough.
Be proud of your boobs. Flaunt them for all their worth.
The only natural way to make them bigger is weight gain and it's not a great idea. There are no magic pills, creams or charms.
So, be proud of your boobs.

Slight breeze coming from vagina?!?

Okay, so my friend told me about an issue he has with his girlfriend... supposedly she has this constant stream of air that comes out of her vagina... and he went down on her once and it got so "windy" that she made him stop! Has anyone else heard of this!? Is there some type of vaginal condition?? I'm just curious lol.
Answer:
Sounds like she has a loose hole. And when shes excited and it contracts it pushes out air. She needs to do some kegal (not sure on spelling) exercises to tighten it up.

Slight Bleeding After sex?

Me and my bf have been together for almost 2 years and about 9 months into the relationship during intercourse i could have slight bleeding ( not from the inside mor like the split. if you understand what im saying) its light pink and is normally accompannied by a i little pain ( like u feel when u have a papercut. except... down there) ANY IDEAS WHATS GOING ON? i 've been tested twice and clean both times within the last 10 months
Answer:
Perhaps you are not relaxed enough during intercourse, and that causes a little "tear". Try some lube and more foreplay and see if that helps. Another possibility is your bf is too rough, or even too big for you to handle. Try positions that you can control how far he goes and see if that helps.
it sounds like he stretched it (somehow...prolly going in too fast) and i think it should heal up pretty fast... but then again if you are constantly moving and walk alot then it might take a long time.
it doesnt sound like it is anything bad, dont worry about it and you might try sitting around for a couple days so that area stays still and NO MORE SEX (tell it gets better...hahaha)
you have a rare disease. its called jungle fever. it cant be found in the usual tests that go on in the tests the doctors have done in the hospital. it also could be from you having a black boyfriend and his dick is too big for you.
It may be a slight tare from you not being 100% ready to have intercourse. Try more foreplay. Your body will be more relaxed and there will be more lubrication. The tares hurt pretty freaking bad though and there's not much you can do once they happen except keeping it clean.
i would think that that is just from your partner being to ''large'' ...or maybe you just need some more wettness,,,,

Sleepy all the time, even though I get enough rest. Can anyone help??

I am 29 years old and a stay at home mother. I get about 7-8 hours of restful sleep a night (no sleep apnea) but I still feel sleepy throughout the day. Last time I went to the doc (6 months ago) blood sugar and thyroid were normal, and I take my women's vitamin with Iron faithfully. I limit caffeine and sugar and drink good stuff like decaf tea and water.

Is it possible I need more sleep than I'm getting? When I take an afternoon nap I feel better but then I don't get my housework done while my toddlers are sleeping! I hate wasting part of my afternoon on a nap. Any suggestions on what might be causing my sleepiness?

Thanks.

P.S. I am not pregnant - checked that already. LOL
Answer:
How old is your mattress? A better bed can make the same hours of sleep feel so much more restful. I sleep soundly whether I crash on the couch or the bed, but I feel a lot more tired the next day when I slept on the couch. If your mattress is eight years old, it might be time for a new one.

I don't think you'd have a problem with a little caffeine in the late morning, as long as you don't overdo it, but medical opinions vary on that--try it and do what feels right for your body.

Depression, boredom, or lack of exercise could be factors, but I doubt it--you would have figured it out if it were one of those. I'm betting that you need a new bed.
you could be getting too much
get some excercise
Perhaps you have low blood iron.
If you need to nap, then you need to nap.

What I would do is to take a nap when your toddlers are sleeping and after they go to bed for the night, do a basic clean-up. Save the big cleaning for the weekend.

It's probably your body just saying that you need more sleep!
um the only thing that would cause this is malnutrition and dehydration. drink a lot of water.
Yes, well, try sleeping in a bit longer, unless you have a job: then go to sleep earlier. If naps help, take more of them. Try to get your husband to take care of the kids for a day while you take your rest. Then, if nothing happens, tell your doctor. He may perscribe some medicine (but do not take it with alcohol).
Your headed toward your thirties You stamina is not what it use to be when you were 19. You need to get a fitness program to help keep your metabolism running at full speed. It is harder to maintain your shape when in your in your mid thirties because your body starts to slow down. Keep a jump on it and stay active. Eat clean and healthy and your energy will come back to you.
Some people need up to 10 hours of sleep, my body likes 9. I get 7 1/2 every night and feel sleepy all day. You could try light to moderate excercise, I've been told that helps (as if having toddlers isn't excercise!).

How long has this been going on? If it's only been a week, you may be about to get sick.
try getting more exercise and try 8 hours.
Yes, you may need more sleep than others, everyone is different. But you may need to exercise more!! Or maybe you're a little depressed ? That could cause it too.
I would think it's possibly mono(haha...the kissing disease). i had it and the first symptom was sleepy all the time.
Maybe you need a better mattress because you may be tossing in your sleep and not getting a full nights sleep. Mattress Wrold's 2006 models are now on sale. I bought one for $400 off
Umm well maybe you should drink more coffee or something. You dont have to put sugar or anything in it so its not unhealthy. Or you can get a new matress. I heard that the tempeix matress makes you feel like you get more hours of sleep than you acutally get.
If you can, try getting a babysitter one morning. Maybe when your husband leaves for work, a babysitter can come in.

Let yourself sleep without waking up to an alarm (hence the babysitter to care for the kids until you do wake up). That will tell you how much sleep you need. Do it on a night when you haven't done something to make you more sleepy (like a zoo trip lol), make it just on a normal night.

Some people only need 7-8 hours. Other people need 9-10. When are you feeling sleepy during the day, your brain is telling you that are you are not getting enough sleep, or you are getting too much sleep. Yes, it's possible that 7 hours is too much for you. I have a friend who goes to bed at 8 PM every night (she's a senior in high school) and wakes up on her own at 6 AM because she has learned how much sleep her body needs to work properly... even if it is 10 whole hours!
Relax your body maybe tired but your brain does not feel tires. I would take a nap every other day. maybe get some help around the house. Take a vacation and leave the kids with grandma or anyone you trust.
Your body may also be in a turn down state.
Go out running or do some excersise and see if that doesnt wake you up
Maybe you are not sleeping comfortably. Or maybe you are not fully awakening your body for the day. Have you tried starting your day with a 15-20 minute awakening yoga routine? Are you eating too much so that your body is expending all energy to digest? Look into eating foods that will give you energy.
Just from experience may not be your problem. But if the doctors dont think it is not your iron, thyroid, or blood sugar. It just that you are home all day with the kids. getting a break once in a while by taking the to someone else. (mothers day out or drop in) and do something for your self even if it is sleep.
I think it's caused by stress. I'm pretty sure being a stay at home mother.. or any kind of mother in general, is enough to cause a ton of stress. Toddlers tend to tire you out with all of their uber insane amounts of energy regardless of what age you are, lol.
Could be your anemic and you need more Iron.

http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/commo...

This might help.Take care and may God bless you Spiritually
You may have low iron. Try eating more bananas! I understand what your going through! I also always have unfinished housework due to me napping w/ my son. If and when I see my doctor..I'm gonna ask him for some suggestions..and I keep in contact! I have not having any energy!
Did your doctor check your vitimin levels? I know that a vitimin deficency can cause tiredness. I always suggest checking with your doctor about increasing vitimins above and beyond a multi, since you can overdose on certian vitimins.
Was your iron level (hemoglobin) normal? I know you're taking iron, but it can still not be enough.

Also see about Vitamin B-12. You could try taking an extra supplement of vitamin B-12. I am deficient due to having Crohn's disease (immune system damages my small intestine) and my body does not absorb the vitamin properly, so I do injections. Here is some B-12 info:

"Vitamin B12's primary functions are in the formation of red blood cells and the maintenence of a healthy nervous system. B12 is necessary for the rapid synthesis of DNA during cell division. This is especially important in tissues where cells are dividing rapidly, particularly the bone marrow tissues responsible for red blood cell formation. If B12 deficiency occurs, DNA production is disrupted and abnormal cells called megaloblasts occur. **This results in anaemia. Symptoms include excessive tiredness, breathlessness, listlessness, pallor, and poor resistance to infection."

I wouldn't stop until there is some answer. I know that some have what is considered a "normal" thyroid test, but it's on the low end of normal and needs to be treated. You should get your records from your doctor (or at least a copy of your lab results with all the numbers) and see where you're at.

This site has some excellent information about lab tests and normal results, etc http://www.labtestsonline.org/

Good luck.
Maybe you have Mononucleosis.I have it right this second.Go and check with your doctor!!
its sleep disorder.
im talking medicine for it.
i made all this tests you have made and i took a lot of vitamins.
now im talking tricycle antidepressant which increases nor-epinphrene and your heart rate.
doctor may give you stimulant drugs but i dont advice. take drugs with less side effects
If a nap makes you feel better that may be what you need to do, I never take naps but a few days ago I was sooo tired and took one and I felt soo much better. It does kinda suck that you can't get the chores done during that time, but ur body is more important than chores. You can try sleeping less, maybe you get too much sleep, if that don't work than try sleeping an hour later- if that's possible since you have children. Exercise should also help, kids do where you out more so thats another reason probably.

Sleeping with wet hair?

is it ok to sleep with wet hair...?sleeping after taking shower...pls explain briefly why.
Answer:
There's nothing wrong with it health-wise. Personally I avoid it, or at least let my hair dry first because it's a mess in the morning because it dried in all sorts of weird directions (I roll around a lot in my sleep) and I usually need to at least get it wet again to get it under control. If you have really short hair, it might not make a difference, but then again, if it's that short, it would probably dry in less than 15 minutes.
i would think its perfectly fine... as long as you don't mind your pillow being a little wet.

Taking a shower or bath before bed is usually pretty relaxing, and I don't see anything wrong w/ sleeping w/ wet hair.

In the winter time I wouldn't advise it, but sometimes in the summer it helps if you get really hot in your sleep!

Also... incase you don't go to bed with wet hair, you can always go to bed with a wet towel if the hot weather is just unbearable. Its actually better to use a wet towel to keep your body cool when you sleep on those nights where its just TOOOO hot to sleep.
Its fine to sleep with wet hair. The only issues are your hair gets super tangly and you get a wet pillow.
it's perfectly fine!! unless it's cold out and you have your window open, then you might not like it.

Sleeping pills and Ruptured Membranes?

I was prescribed it because of trouble sleeping during my last weeks of pregnanct because of constant contractions. I finally decided to take one last night because I could NOT sleep. Anyway, I took it around midnight and I still feel it in my system. I can barely keep my eyes open still. Is it supposed to be in my system this long?

NEXT QUESTION:When your water breaks and you don't realize it because the amount is so small that you are leaking, do you eventually start getting contractions on your own. The reason I ask is because I'm 37 weeks and I've been having constant contractions since Sunday every 2-3 minutes. I was sent home from the hospital 3 times because nothing is changing with my cervix. This morning when I woke up I noticed that my panties were a little wet and there was a line of fluid from the middle of my panties to the back. I was laying on my back. I took a shower and I still feel a lot of wetness down there but not a flow. Will my contractions get stronger
Answer:
If you feel that you are leaking, and it is more than just discharge, see your doctor! You might have a pinhole in your water, and if that is the case, you will be induced and have your baby! It isn't safe to stay at home with a hole in your water, opens you up to infection! Better safe than sorry!! Good luck!
If you are leaking you should go to the hospital and they will give you a piece of paper to test the fluid in your panties...this is to see if it is amniotic fluid. go go go! contractions can take a wile to kick in...up to 24 hrs. If you have not had the child by then they will probably give you drugs to jump start labor.how exciting! good luck

Skipping your period (exercise)?

I have been improving on my fittness latly and have had a delayed, lighter period. I think this is okay.

Could this continue to on? What if someone never got their period because they worked out a lot? Whould that be healthy?
Answer:
No this is not healthy for a woman to miss her period. There are many complications that arise from not having a period, one being osteoporosis. Exercise in moderation is fine, but to overdue it, your body will suffer. You need to feed your body the appropriate nutrients in the right quantities. When you go below your BMR you compromise your body. Consume enough calories to maintain a balance in energy. The energy going in is equal to the energy going out.
Amenorrhea is the absence of your menstrual cycle; in your case, secondary amenorrhea. Here are some causes:
**Excessive exercise. Women who participate in sports that require rigorous training, such as ballet, long-distance running or gymnastics, may find their menstrual cycle interrupted. Several factors combine to contribute to the loss of periods in athletes, including low body fat, stress and high energy expenditure.
**Low body weight. Excessively low body weight interrupts many hormonal functions in your body, potentially halting ovulation. Women who have an eating disorder, such as anorexia or bulimia, often stop having periods because of these abnormal hormonal changes.
**Hormonal imbalance. A common cause of amenorrhea or irregular periods is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This condition causes relatively high and sustained levels of estrogen and androgen, a male hormone, rather than the fluctuating condition seen in the normal menstrual cycle. This results in a decrease in the pituitary hormones that lead to ovulation and menstruation. PCOS is associated with obesity; amenorrhea or abnormal, often heavy uterine bleeding; acne and sometimes excess facial hair. The best way to avoid an interruption in your menstrual cycle is to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Make changes in your diet and exercise activity to achieve a healthy weight.
Strive for a healthy balance in work, recreation and rest.
Assess areas of stress and conflict in your life. If you can't decrease stress on your own, ask for help from family, friends or your doctor.
Yes you usually have a lighter and/or delayed period if you excersise.

Skipping periods-NOT on birth control?

I have not been on birth control for quite a while. I am ALWAYS on my period during special occasions, my wedding, honeymoon, birthdays, valentines day. We are going on vacation at the end of the month and yet again I am supposed to be on my period. I am willing to start taking birth control just to skip this period. Is it too late? The 1st day of my last period was April 27th and they usually last 5 days. Does anyone have any alternative ideas to the pill? I really want to enjoy this vacation without having to worry about my period. There was a pill in the UK called norethisterone. Is this legal in the US? Has anyone taken it? A lot of women have taken it in the UK and seems to be great. Thanks!
Answer:
I've been to the doc and asked for the pills but I was too late (it was less than a week to due date). I suggest you consult a doc now, else it would be too late.
life doesnt stop because of ur period. so y should u?
my advice is dont taks any pills as u might get complications in ur reproductive system.
u must not stop n joying life coz of period. lots of women have their period but they don't take any pills
As you don't take the pill [for birth control] I assume you use other methods for that, so I would suggest a very low dose pill, so as you can control your periods [have them when you like or not at all, if you choose] and this would put an end to all your problems. Many women do this very successfully and you can too. Unless you have very heavy periods, you should not have any problems with living a normal life and doing normal things, whilst you are having a period. There are many sanitary protection products to overcome almost any problem that you may be experiencing.

Skipping periods?

I take ortho tri-cyclen birth control pills and i was wondering how effective skipping your period is since there are different hormone levels being distrubuted each week as i understand it.
I'm going on a vacation next weekend and thats when i'm scheduled to get my period!! =(
i'm really needing to skip it.. can anyone tell me if i'll spot or what to expect. I understand that you take the pills backwards next month. right?

thank you!
Answer:
I've also never heard of taking them backwards. I have (more than once)"postoned" my period by just continuing on with a new pack of pills. I don't recall ever having any spotting. There are new types of pills out nowadays that keep you from having a period for something like 3 months :)
i duno
Not sure about taking the pills backwards. When I have skipped one before, my doctor told me it was OK, I did not spot as long as I kept taking my pills on time everyday.

Have fun on vaca!
i used seanale bc and love it! i only got my period 4 times a year. i would just skip the white ones or whatever color they are(the Non hormone ones) and just start with your new pack. the only neg thing is you will run out of pills a week early and will your insurance pay for more pills a week early? go for is skip your monthy friend nothing will happen
what u would do is instead of taking the last week of this pack (your period week) go straight into your new pack. this does not always work.. you can have some spotting or you can have your period. ive never heard about taking them backwards?!?!?!
i tried this myself last spring break and got the worst breakthrough bleeding. It was worse then my actual period, not to mention sudden, i ruined some sheets to say the least. Payback was murder, i wish i just sucked it up!
It may be too soon to try doing any sort of "skipping pills".

Also, I tried that last August, and it took a few months to get my period back on track with my fourth week pills. I will NEVER do it again.

You could have breakthrough bleeding or your period even if you try skipping or "taking it backwards".

Skipping Period?

I'd like to see if I can skip my period for May. I haven't been on birth control, but would like to start taking it Sunday (since it's my time of the month right now) and do the daily pill and then skip the white pills at the end and start immediately on another pack in order to do that trick of skipping my period. Do you think this will work since I am JUST starting the Pill or do you think it would mess my body up big time and I should just leave things alone?
Answer:
I tried it the first time I started bc pills. No break through bleeding for me. But then I tried to skip the next period and that caused a problem!
There are birth control pills which work for 90 days,

Skipping period on the pill?

I am on the pill (yasmin) and i have skipped my last 3 periods. how many is too many to skip in a row? i only intend to skip one more but i cant imagine its healthy to skip it so often. also i dont think i will die if i do it once more? any advice?
Answer:
The pill is only one form of contraceptive, to give you an idea, I had a contraceptive implant for a year and didn't get my period once. I'm now on depo provera, the contraceptive injection that lasts for three months at a time, and you miss your periods the entire time you're on it. It's fine. You won't die! I'd be six feet under if that were the case.
Take a pregnancy test. It is possible to become pregnant while on the pill. If you have and know you are not then I would say talk to your doctor. You should be having your periods. Three is a lot to miss and it sounds like you are pregnant or having a reaction. Talk to your doctor and don't wait. If it's a problem you want to know right away.
well, you really should ask your doctor about it to be sure. they would know more about your medical history, etc. things are different for different people, so it would be best to check with them first.

that being said, I can tell you that I asked my doctor about it once because I was planning a really long trip that would have been nice to be able to not have a period during it. he told me that it would be fine to go three months without a period but that he REALLY did not recommend going longer than that. he told me that even if I was still on my trip by then, that I needed to let it come that next time.

I am not sure WHY you have skipped it for so long already, but it really isn't good to get in the habit of it. if you are just doing it because it is a pain to have one, you need to get over it and just have one. if you really have a reason, like extended travel or something, then you need to talk to your doctor and see what they have to say about it.

Anything that anyone tells you on here will only be their own experience and probably not professional advice. Again, I HIGHLY recommend talking to your doctor and going from there.
It's actually endorsed by a few dr's now to 'skip' a period with the pill by skipping the inactive tablets in row 4 of the pack. It's usually recommended for really really heavy and painful periods, so the woman doesn't have to spend 2 days in bed each month with pain, only every 3 months! If you want to take it a lifestyle choice then that's fine too, but 3 months is usually the max recommended just because the body starts getting confused and breakthrough bleeding occurs which defeats the purpose. Noit doesn't mean death but it may not completely work either!
ofcoure you will not die, but you can get pregnant .

Skipped periods?

I'm 19, I've been having my periods since I was 12. I haven't had my last period since January..what the hell? There's no way I'm pregnant either. So what gives?
Answer:
Your hormones could be out of balance or you could have cystic ovaries among many other possible causes. Whatever the reason, you need to see a doctor about that.
Such things do happen.. Female Menstrual Disorders are there.. they can be corrected...

Well .. I think .. in case you really need help and proper advise.. professionally managed.. Free and Confidential address.. ID .. doingall3@yahoo.co.in ... .. be sure.. you may an answer without getting into misconceptions and fears.. avoid drugs medication..

relax.. it will be OK.. just you need right guidance and help..

Skipped period!! Is this normal for a teen?

Well I've had my period since I was 13 and I've never skipped a cycle. I didn't have my period for a month already. I've been through a lot of stress lately. I am overweight so I have started dieting and doing some exercise. Is this normal since I've just started to be on a diet?? Or does the exercise have something to do with it?? Or both??
Answer:
If you've been sexually active, then yes, you should take a pregnancy test.

But all the things you describe: low-calorie diets, heavier exercise, and stress can all delay your period. If you miss more than two periods, call up your doc to get checked out... you want to have at least 1 period every three months. But few women have 100% regular cycles all their lives.
Well it is actually very normal. your cycle can mess up b/c of change in diet and/or stress.. if it continues..or your REALLY concerned just go to a doctor or ask your mom.
It could be the diet and exercise. You didn't say how old you are now, but if you haven't had your period for that long, you're more likely to be irregular. And of course, if you're sexually active, you could be pregnant.
its cuz of your dieting and stress. It's normal. When i was 16 i went on a diet, didnt have a period for 8 months! I wasn't pregnat or anything sometimes your body does that. I had never skipped either. dont trip.
It is normal to skip or be late. Every reason you stated can cause missed periods. As long as you aren't sexually active I wouldn't be over concerned about it.
All those can affect your period.
Stress, dieting, and exercise.
Also teens tend to have irregular periods.
Missing your period would be a cause of stress if you have been sexually active.
Its alright. Im a teen to and i just skipped mine. Im really stressed right now too and that can really delay your period. So just calm down. Its okay.
everything that you are doing right now are all the main reasons of why you might skip one.
-excersize
-dieting
-stress
all the reasons, so i guess that would be normal, but I suggest seeing a doctor, just in case.
usually when you are doing some type of exercise it delays your period and the dieting your body isn't used to it so that could be a problem to but everything is normal
Stress can be very relative to this situation. See one of my neices has been very stressed out latly. She has not been eating very often (eating minimal amounts, skipping meals), a huge amount of stress and pressure has been put across her shoulders (of the situation i cannot speak of). She has not had a period in 4 months. You see, perhaps your change in diet, eating a lot lighter, has impacted the message between your reproductive system and the rest of your body. This happens to many women who have been under a large amount of stress and pressure. What you need to do to help this is each day for about 5-10 minutes, is sit down in a comfortable chair, or whatever suites you. Now, take a deap breath in through your nose slowly imagining the air molocules fillling your lungs. breath out, imagineing the air molocules entering the outside. Relax. Then eat a balanced diet. It's not exacly a good thing to go on a diet. Just a balanced meal only at mean time, without eating in between meals. exersize regulary and get good rest. Good luck, and God bless :)

Skip, or induce my period for this month?

I spent $3,000 on a vacation next week, and my darn period is coming late. Its supposed to be here yesterday, and I really don't want to feel crummy on my trip. Is there any way to induce my period, or skip it for the month?

(btw its impossible for me to be pregnant my cycles aren't always regular, and I don't take 'the pill' right now either so I can't use that to skip it)
Answer:
If you were on " the pill" you could stop taking it and you would get your period now. Theres no other way to make it just start. I would bring a lot of midol, and they also have these products called "instead" http://www.softcup.com/ if its a romantic vacation=-) Good luck hopefully it starts and goes by then, I know how ya feel!
If you don't take the pill, how do you intend to skip your period? Yes, it's advisable to postpone it if you're going on holiday (especially with the money YOU spent) but it sounds like you're out of luck if you don't have the pill.
I DONT THINK THEIRS SUCH THINGS LIKE THAT?? IF IT WAS I THINK WE WOULD HAVE KNOW TRY PAMPONS
there is somethning,,,,,if you go to the doctor and explain he will give you pills you take everyday untill your ready to come on your period.my sis had the same prob as yours and it worked for her...good luck and enjoy your hols!
I just looked at that soft cup website...I have never seen anything like that. I don;'t think I would use it.

Skip Period? Trisprintec?

I am interested in skipping my period due to an upcoming vacation. I am currently taking tripsprintec which i've read can be a problem as I will likely experience bleeding. I also read online that I would be able to take the pills backwards since week 3 is the highest dosage. Is this true? Has anyone tried this? Also - will the pregnancy protection still be in affect? Thank you!
Answer:
Yeah I've done this before with pills and with the Nuva ring. I don't know about taking them backwards though.

You might experience bleeding but only spotting. Just skip your week of placebo pills and immediatly start your next pack.

The reason you bleed is because your body is no longer getting the hormone in your pills during the placebo week. It will be just as effective as long as you take your pills correctly.

I would call a pharmacist, they know best. And if you get a pharmacist who is aganist BC or tells you not to do it just call another pharmacy. Some pharmacists are completely aganist BC in general and won't help you.
i would do as my doctor tell me they gave it to you like that for a reason the weaker one first then the strong so your body could adjust to it in reveres it will be to much for your body to adjust to

Size zero fat burner?

Size zero fat burner : Is this product good? And does it give you that shaky feeling?supplement?
I just ordered this product last night on GNC.COM and it seemd like a pretty good supplement, but I just want to know others oppions..So please let me know what you think...
Answer:
Don't take diet pills. Diet pills are just mild form of amphetamine, so you'll burn calories by increased heart rate and lose weight by having no appetite. That's a bad combination. They are all the same. Just because it might say "All natural" on the bottle doesn't mean it's better for than other diet pills. Cocaine is all natural. Heroin and opium are all natural.

Diet Pills are for stupid girls who want to die at 35 from a heart attack. If you really want to lose weight, you'd exercise and eat healthier. There is no magic pill to make you lose weight.
hi i never heard of it but all diet pills are the same yes they help u to lose a few lbs but they don't help u to keep them off,u should try colon cleansing if u want to start a good diet and eat right.

Size matters?

Is it true that it's not so much that girls are looking for big ones as they are trying to avoid small ones? Like, would a girl really be disappointed if she got with an average one and a big one is like a plus?
Answer:
The average man in America is 5-6 inches (when aroused). For many woman a man of average size that knows how to use it is enough. The above average 7-10 is preferable to some ladies. Over 12 inches can be painful. Also girth counts for a lot. What good is 8 inches if he is only 2.5 inches around.
hey, guess what? you answered your own question
it's not the size that matters it's the fact that they know how to use it. But most girls will try to avoid a very small one
No,I don't feel that a girl would be disappointed unless you didn't know how to use it.I prefer smaller ones myself. So much is wasted if it's to big.

Size 14 or zero- what's healthier?

i am 5ft 5" and a size 14.
a recent doctors appointment left me shocked! after taking my height and weight the doctor so kindly informed me that i'm actually classed as "OBESE" i couldn't believe what he was saying.
does anyone else find this absolutely rediculas?
Answer:
Yes I think that is ridiculous. I do not agree with the revised body mass index numbers.they used to be a little different. Where weighing 145 used to be ok, now they are saying you should be 125 instead. I am going through the same thing right now. I am 5' 5" and a size 10-12. I am not classified as obese, but definitely overweight. I know that I am overweight, but I am not anywhere CLOSE to being obese, and some say that I don't even look "fat".

I lost weight a few years ago, got down to 132. My family freaked out and told me that I had lost too much weight. I eventually gained some back, and now I am overweight again. It is a vicious cycle. A nurse recently told me that I should be 128 pounds, and I told her that she was wrong. I will never be 128 pounds unless I am dying. My ideal weight for my height, frame, and bone structure is 140-145. People need to take more than just height into consideration before opening their mouths.

My advice is to do what you can to be healthy, and if that includes losing a few pounds, go for it. But don't let someone tell you that you are wrong for being a size 14. If you are healthy, that is what matters. If you are not healthy, then it is time to assess your overall lifestyle and make necessary changes. Good luck!
Having gone from a size 14 to a size 5 I can safely say I am much healthier than I have ever been in my life. I wouldn't consider a 14 to be obese either, but that doesn't mean it is a healthy size. It is overweight.
no alot a people are just go to the gym as much as you can. and buy a jump rope and get to skipping on your brake at work or any time your board or when you are watching TV.
no.
i wouldnt say obese but maybe overweight.
check it out on a bmi calculator. (www.bmicalculator.com) -it can range over the weight it says by 10lbs higher or 10lbs lower.
it may be surprising but the truth can sometimes hurt.
just try exercising 1 hr each day at least.
and eat healthier.

what really matters is what you think of yourself. as long as you are happy, eat healthy, and exercises. then that is all that matters. it isnt what you look like that matters, he is just concerned with the inside of you.(heart, etc.) if you eat healthy then you are fine. but dont think you need to be a size 0. thats drastic!! your pant size doesnt really matter at all anyway. they are absurd.
plus- muscle weighs more than fat. so you might be really muscular.
No, you are not Obese because your a 5ft , so its perfectly fine. For your height , yes you are. Im not even a size zero because my generation of family was always thin. So I say your perfectly fine! Dont worry about what yu look on the outside, think about the inside. I think your doctor should never classify in people in such catergories like OBESE! Your fine the way you are. bye!

Answer:
Well, a size 0 is not healthy for someone at your height.

I don't know you, so it's hard for me to say if you are really obese. Your doctor was calculating this based on your BMI (body mass index) which is a number calculated based on your height, gender, and weight. It does not take into account bone structure or muscle content. A BMI under 18 is overweight, 20 is average, over 25 is overweight, and over 30 is obese. It's just a number.

What else did your doctor say? Did he suggest diet and exercise to you, or did he tell you to ignore the BMI? In countries like America with so much food available, almost everyone has to watch their diet and exercise regularly. If the doctor said that you were otherwise healthy, don't worry. If you already eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly, don't worry. Everyone can benefit from a healthy diet and exercise. Believe me, your doctor was not calling you fat as you might have interpreted it.

I cannot say much about your health because I am not your doctor, but I know that women who wear a size 14 are beautiful. Marilyn Monroe wore the same size. I am sure that you look wonderful. Remember, the obese BMI classification has nothing to do with how you look or what your eating habits are; it's just a number. Make sure you are healthy, and remember that you are always beautiful.

I hope I helped!
I'm considered obese too and I'm 5'7" and a size 16. I think it's strange. I don't think a size 0 is healthier than a size 14. Maybe somewhere in between is best, but who cares. As long as you are getting some exercise every day, drinking plenty of water and eating fruits and veggies, then I really don't think you are unhealthy at all.
At your height a 14 absolutely would be healthier than a 0.
Develop better eating habits and exercise. Try curves or try the Y if there is one in your town.
It takes a determination to reorganize priorities. BUT!! You can do it.!
Well actually not. You aren't supposed to be size zero either. You need to find a happy medium. If you just watch what you eat and excercise you'll get to where you are supposed to be.
True also that in the US the size that is most attractive is getting bigger--but our perception does not change our health issues.Your health is NOT about what size clothing you wear.(someone who is a healthy weight can have curves that means she fits into a larger size--Beyonce is a healthy 135)It is partly about what weight you are for your height and how your body is functioning internally at that weight. Your doctor did not tell you that you must be a size zero to be healthy.

BMI Categories:
Underweight = %26lt;18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

If he says you are obese that means that more than 30% of your body is fat. The BMI calculator does take into consideration that not everyone who is healthy is going to be 100 pounds..at your height you can weigh 112 to 150 and still be considered healthy.Add some more for people with large frames and a little less for those with small frames.
To be considered just overweight you would be 150-179lbs
To be considered obese you weigh more than this.
Actually, there is no way to tell if you are overfat just from your weight/height and clothes size. You need to get a second opinion. I would suggest having your body fat percentage checked. Women should have no more than around 32% body fat to be healthy.

You may have a larger build or more muscle mass, which is adding weight, but your fat levels could be perfectly normal. I'm not sure of your exact measurements, but I've never heard of an obese UK size 14 before!

Also you can check your waist measurement. It should be no more than 32 inches around the narrowest part, otherwise this puts you at an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes.

HTH : )
It really depends on your BMI, you can find a chart on google or something.

I wear a size 0, and my doctors say im healthy.

It really depends, i suppose.

Sister help again?

in my other question i asked wut i should do about my sister not eating very much...well now i think think sh is bulimeic. i told my dad about her not eating breakfast or lunch and she denied it but shes lieing. so then i find out that she was eating a piece of pizza and was like i need to go on a diet. then she went to the bathroom and was in there for 10min and i think she might have been throwing up. i told my dad about this and he said he will talk to her, but i think she is going to lie again. i am also going to tell my mom but wut ese can i do?
Answer:
You can just try to help her.
Your parents are the ones that have to make the decision to have her commited and whatnot.
Sorry, good luck.
Good for you for being a good sister and telling your dad. You should defiantly tell your mom, and try to convince your parents that she needs to see a doctor.
tell your sister she better quit unless she wants to end up like terry chaivo. *-*
Have you actually told her that you are worried? have a sisterly heart to heart with her. I don't know how old she is but has she started another school/college? trying to keep in with the others? has she got a boyfriend , feeling insecure? who does she hang out with ? there could be peer pressure. I think you should confront her with your concerns for her. She's your Sister, you love her , tell her.
Hey, you're a great sister to have!

The next step after telling both your folks, is the school counselor or school nurse; maybe a trusted teacher.
Have you actually tried sitting down with her and talk to her about it? Many girls feel as if they're fat or ugly and try to change that by taking drastic measures. You did the right thing telling your parents. Ask her if she's upset about something and always tell her how beautiful she is. There's nothing like a comforting sibling.
Man ur such a caring sister i thought my sister was a bulimic too so i know how you feel and fortunately she just had the stomach flu. well i don't know what you can do but if i were you i would have a sister to sister talk you know and i would tell her how i feel how i don't want to lose her...well she would probably lie to your parents because she knows they won't understand but if u try hard enough you might be able to break through her hard shell. maybe ur mom can get her to talk i hope everything is going to be all right good luck you should read more about the symptons so visit some websites and read a few book it might be something else.
i wish i'd had a sister like you when i was doing the same thing, you told your parents which is great but beware she might fall out with you for trying to help,so get in there first and talk to her and tell her how worried you are about her,the main thing you can do is stand by her and talk to her as much as you can.
Try to spend quality time with her doing things that she may enjoy and try to get to know her, find out her fears and joys maybe then she may open up to you, try not to pressure her, she needs to feel secure. ask her if there is anything she ever wants to talk about, you will be there to listen, and think about how you are going to manage the information, she needs to trust you.
you sound very sensible and caring, keep a close eye on your sister, maybe keep a diary if no one believes you, talk again to your mum and dad, if they do nothing could you tell your teacher? or someone else who can help, but make sure of your facts first
i think you did the right thing telling your dad, and yes, you should tell your mum as well. It's probably best she sees a dietican or something, so try to persuade them to take her to see one. You could also try talking to her yourself, you know, reassuring her she isn't fat and that being bulimic is not the answer. Try and support her every way you can, suggest going on a basic diet together or something; a good way to boost her confidence and give her moral support.

Talk with your family about it, along with your sister, and try to reach an agreement about the soloution. I am sure that if you explain to her the consequences and dangers of what she is doing that she will soon come round. Give her leaflets about these sort of problems containing real-life situations so she can relate to them and perhaps apply them to her own life in some way.

Make sure she gets all her vitamans and minerals-with tablets etc- during this period of time for her. Im sure she won't object to swallowing a few pills a day!

My elder sister suffered from bulima for a few months and i did all this stuff and she overcame it. she is now a healthy weight and happy with a boyfriend. Seriously, all you can do is support her in any way you can and persuade others to do the same

wishing you all the best :)

Single dad here with 14 y.o. daughter?

My wife passed away 14 months ago. My 14 year old daughter got her period for the first time about 12 months ago. She appears to be fairly regular and handling it well. At what age is it normal to take her for a gyno visit? I have no other women in my life to go to with this. Thanks for the help.
Answer:
I'm 37 so it has been a while since I first started my period. When I started my Mom was going to take me for gyno visit but when she called for the appointment she was told as long as I wasn't sexually active or having any problems this was not necessary. I was 20 when I had my first gyno exam. I would talk to your daughter and let her know if she has any questions or thinks she may have a problem to come to you and if she feels uncomfortable telling you that you will find someone she can talk to. A good person for her to ask question to would be a gyno if she feels uncomfortable talking to you. If you haven't this is a good time to have a sex talk and let her know your thoughts on birth control and teen sex.
If she's getting her period she should have annual visits to the OBGYN. If your wife had one that she visited maybe you could take her there. Interview the OB first to make sure he /she has decent bedside manner.

I'm sorry on your loss. I bet your a great dad.

Blessings!

PS...DO NOT WAIT! Women's health is important. You don't have to rush her to the Doctor but an annual exam is important if she's cycling.
i would take her as soon as possible, then just ask the doctor when and any other questions you may have. nobody better to ask than a female doctor
Well if shes handling it well why take her to a gyno..i think shes too young for that..I think a more appropriate age is about 16 or 18..Don't worry about it..its personal instinct..she'll handle it well!
http://www.medem.com/medlb/article_detai...
It honestly depends...It's pretty much when she is ready, I think...and BEFORE she starts (I know you hate to hear it) having sex. I think 14 is too young, but ask her how she feels about it... but, since you are a single dad, going to the gyno may be a good idea so she can have someone to ask questions that God knows she wont ask you.
Hope it helps
At what age is it normal to take her for a gyno visit?

hmm,i didnt go for one,is this something that people do these days?
i mean,as long as she has no problems down there,i mean infection and so on.
sorry i couldnt be of any help.maybe you can telephone them and ask,if it was nessercery
good luck to you and your daughter
Usually when she is sexually active, of course she may not tell you this. Suggest that she talk to one of her friends' mooms or an auntie or cousin if she has a prblem or question and just let her know that you won't be hurt if she doesn't ask you for help. If she has had her periods for 12 months, chances are she is coping fine. I found that the Being Girl website cleared up any problems I had. Hope this helps xXx
Perhaps it would be a good idea to get involved with a "young woman's association" or one of those "big sister" programs...

It is important to have a WOMAN element in the upbringing of such a child as you reference. The school-system(public) should have some sort of program that you and YOUR DAUGHTER primarilly, can be a part of.

Females don't really need a gyne unless there is some type of "female" problem. She should get yearly check ups with your family doctor just to be on the safe side.
i'm no pro on issues like this, but i have always heard that a girl doesn't need to go to a gynocologist until she starts having sex.unless, obviously, she finds something abnormal. but i think most girls start going to the gynocologist around the age of 19. i think it's safe to say that your daughter is way too young at this point. in fact, i'm 21 and i'm going for my first visit in a week.
Soon...before she's sexually active.
She really doesn't have to go to the gyno until she's 18 or starts having sex.
I would say in 6 months to a year. Let her decide when she's ready.
I would make an appointment with your family Dr. and discuss with him/her. I know that at 14 I would have been devastated to go to a gyno... I would think 15 or 16 would be a more appropriate age as long as there doesn't seem to be any issues with it. You do need to have the discussion with her if you do decide to take her there, keep communication open. You're doing a great job and you obviously care a lot... keep it up and I wish the best for you.
I'm so sorry about your wife.

Unless she's having a problem or she (I hate to say it) starts having sex, then she needs to go right away. Otherwise, she doesn't need to go until she is 18. I hope she is still a virgin at that age.
I'd say around 16...unless you have not had a talk to her about sex.. and obstaining from it.then I'd find a lady doc and talk to her first, if you think she can do the job, and you can't... ( go with your gut feelings) then tell the doc what you want...the sex talk;;; and take your daughter in to see her.good luck.be a dad ...not just her friend, and you'll be just fine. I'll keep the 2 of you in my prays. Also take her in right away if she has really bad cramps, heavy bleeding or no period..
I'm sorry for your loss. the only thing i can tell you is that i'm 18 and i've never been to the gyno, my doctor said i don't need a pap until i'm 20. i'd say have her check herself everyonce in a while for anything out of the ordinary, and if all is well she shouldn't have to see one until 18-20.
I am sorry about your loss. It sounds like you are a great dad. It's nice to hear that you are concerned about your daughter's health.

I started my period when I was 14, but I didn't go to the gyno until I was 18. It is important to have a check-up at the age of 18 just to make sure everything is alright. From then on, I have gone every other year. There is no reason to go yearly until you are sexually active, or if there seems to be a problem, such as abnormal pain or abnormal periods.

Good luck! :) Keep up the good work
John H, unless if you know for sure that you're Daughter isn't sexually active, there's no need for her to see a Gyn just yet.
Most young Women start seeing a Gyn at the age of sixteen or when they become sexually active.
I'm hoping that she's open with you enough so you can know exactly when to take her. Though, if you want to make sure that she continues to regulate on time, if she has problems during menstruating and if she has questions that you do not feel comfortable answering or do not know the answer to, you can take her to see a Gyn.
I hope this helps. You're an awesome and caring Dad.
Well, I can tell you from personal experience here.

I started seeing a gyno when I was 15. I was still a virgin, and I was not planning on having sex any time soon, but my mother thought it was a good idea to get me into regular visits with a doc. I got my period when I was 12, and my mom didnt see any reason when I was that young to take me to a doc at that point. Anytime now would be good to take her for her very first annual appointment. She needs to go at least once a year to make sure everything is ok in that area, and my mom made me go once every 6 months after she found out I was having sex. When I first went to the doc when I was 15, she also recommended I go on the Birth Control pill because before my period every month, my breasts would hurt so much, and the cramps were horrible, so she said it would not happen anymore if I got on the pill, it would not only regulate my period, so that I could predict it every month, but it would also make my periods lighter and shorter. It helped, so dont be freaked out if your daughter comes out with a script for birth control. Dont jump to conclusions, it doesnt mean that she is going to have sex or is already having sex. Girls are tough. I know, I was a pain in the *** when I was a teen. Good luck, and let anyone of us know if there is anything else we can do for you. I, for one, would be more than happy to help you with anything when it comes to daughters
I went to my first gyno appointment when i was 14. So any time is good. Sorry about your lose
now, and as much as you may dread this you should also consider putting her on some type of birth control. she may nopt be sexually active but just in case if she is it will prevent unwanted pregnancies. and the pill also helps reduce menstrual cramps.

Since there is a high probability of me becoming pregnant.what can i do after one week of sex?

i want to know if the is something i can do to prevent the prgnancy because i dont want to abort.and i cant have the baby now
Answer:
It's too late to prevent pregnancy. You could have taken the morning after pill (which is NOT a form of abortion by the way as it PREVENTS a pregnancy; it does NOT end one), but you have to take those within 3 days. Now, all you can do is it out and if you are pregnant, you've got 3 choices...raise, abort or adopt. Good luck. If you don't want a baby right now, you need to get on some kind of birth control.
then was the time to think about that.. go get a blood test
Ask your pharmacist if it is too late for Plan B. Why did you wait?
good luck
Birth control before having unprotected sex is usually your best option. If you're too late for that then use a condom or today sponge or something. If you're not going to do that either then more than likely you may turn up pregnant. If you're not going to have a baby then abortion is your only other choice. Good luck. Oh yeah, they do have the morning after pill but you do need to get a prescription and be able to take it the morning after you've had sex.
Ask your doctor or go to a Planned Parenthood center to get methotrexate.

do you realise how ignorant this question makes you sound?
i pray you are NOT pregnant for the sake of the child. you sound like a child yourself.

Since i started my periods i have been getting a pain in my ryt side wen i *** on it gose?

and about a week later it is back anyone know what it could be it somtimes feels right up my ryt side under my chest
Answer:
It is not clear what your question is.

Since I am afraid of needles, can I donate menstrual blood to the carter blood drive?

Answer:
No.

It is not healthy blood that is the same type that is needed. Menstral blood is blood that had been stored in the body for the develpoment of pregnancy and is disgarged when the body has determined that it is no longer needed. This is in a sense, 'waste blood'.

Besides, there would be not sanitary way to collect this even if it were usable.
That would be a big fat NO
How nasty can you get. Why do you want to be so nasty???
That sounds alittle gross any how I highly doubt it.
I think i just puked a little bit.
Ummm..No.
Thats just yuckie.
Get a life!!!
Of course not. It's NOT the same thing, and that is pretty sick. If you are afraid of needles, don't donate. If it's really important to you to donate, get over your fear. It's just a little prick in the arm.
Giving blood is easy to do. The needle pain onl lasts a few seconds and afte that there is none. No ou can't donate menstral blood, anyway how would you collect it?
No I don't believe you can do that. By the way how would you collect this blood...?
ha ha ha that's disgusting, and no you can't. That is dirty blood it has your unfertilized egg and the wall of your inner monthly lining.
Think of this question after you or a family member gets in a car accident and needs blood. Won't be so hilarious to you then will it? Sheesh.
Menstrual blood is old blood, once blood is out of the body, and not in a sterile environment it is kinda useless.
sure, and then we you need blood they can transfuse it back into your blood stream.

yuk

the blood is the lining of your uterus and its dead old blood
This would be a big fat NO seeing that our menstrual blood comes out in a different way. It also can carry a smell to it since it's old blood that comes out of our body. This would be pretty nasty to do.
No it's contaminated!
that is disgusting and you are to, just asking that question common since would tell you no.
I don't think you can do that, honey. It's very sweet that you want to help in any way you can, but think of it like this: If your own body is releasing that blood and it's filled with old uterus lining and other things, why would they put that in someone else's body? Giving blood is not that bad, just close your eyes, and turn your head, and before you know it, you'll be done! Good luck!
I have nipples Greg, can you milk me?
I think everyone answered quite well (and quite funny). thats just a sick sick question. why why why why
this chick is crazy ... check out her other questions! LOSER!
No.
it is not the same blood.
dont donate.
cuz ur weird
I just thew up in my mouth.thats gross. Seek help...now...right now
Of course NOT! your menstrual blood has been clotted once and then degraded so you see it as fresh blood, that is why you never see your menstrual blood clot again. this blood is just a little similar to the blood inside your body and vessels.
Oh wow that's disgusting. No! Troll!
